The partnership between Australia and Indonesia has been a longstanding and productive collaboration. Through the Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Justice (AIPJ) since 2011, it has continued through phase 2 (2017-2025) and into the current phase 3 (2025-2030). The partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening inclusive, accountable legal and security institutions in support of the rule of law in Indonesia.
