Acara peluncuran kerja sama ini diselenggarakan atas dukungan Pemerintah Australia melalui Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Justice Phase 3 (AIPJ3) untuk meningkatkan kapasitas aparat penegak hukum, petugas penanganan, paralegal, serta pemberi bantuan hukum di tingkat desa/kecamatan hingga akhir 2027.

Rangkaian pelatihan ini menempatkan korban bukan hanya sebagai bagian dari prosedur namun sebagai pusat dari proses peradilan serta meningkatkan pelindungan dan sinergi antar pemangku kepentingan dalam implementasi KUHP, KUHAP yang baru, penanganan kasus Tindak Pidana Kekerasan Seksual, Tindak Pidana Pelindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia, dan Tindak Pidana Perdagangan Orang.

The launch of this partnership was held with the support of the Australian Government through the Australia–Indonesia Partnership for Justice Phase 3 (AIPJ3). The initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of law enforcement officials, case handlers, paralegals, and legal aid providers at the village and sub-district levels through the end of 2027.

The training program places survivors at the center of the justice process, recognizing them not merely as participants in legal proceedings but as the focal point of justice. It also seeks to enhance protection for survivors and strengthen coordination among key stakeholders in implementing the new Criminal Code (KUHP) and Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP), as well as in handling cases involving Sexual Violence Crimes (TPKS), crimes related to the protection of Indonesian migrant workers, and human trafficking.
